Route Scouting

Evaluation of potential routes to synthesize the target molecule(s). The proposed synthetic routes are discussed and will incorporate the collective experience of our scientific team. Process economics, scalability, safety and environmental considerations are key features of the proposal.

Process Development

The selected route is established in the laboratory on a scale as per the client requirements. Analytical methods are developed to characterize the intermediates and final product. Processes to be scaled-up undergo a systematic study of the relevant parameters influencing the yield and quality of the product. Initial safety parameters study will be undertaken at this stage.

Custom Synthesis

Fluorochem undertakes custom synthesis of key intermediates and active substances for innovator companies. We have the expertise in synthesizing diverse classes of molecules and offer gram to ton quantities in a cost-effective manner.

Scale Up

Larger quantities may be synthesized in the pilot plant facility at our partners. A summary of the parameters can be established for further transfer of the product to manufacturing facilities.

Capabilities include reactions from 78°C to +250°C; handling of hazardous reagents such as NaH, n-BuLi, Pd/C etc.
